Since 1999,
Cleanosol has been supplying thermoplastic to Hungary.
The country has a variable continental climate making
great demands on thermoplastic; during wintertime it
must be flexible so that it does not crack due to cold
temperatures, and during hot summers it must be so hard
that it does not go black.
There are many reasons for further improving the properties
of thermoplastic in order to get less blackening during
hot summer months. In order to check how the latest
thermoplastic formulations behave outside the laboratory
environment we performed road tests, because it is only
on the road that you can have a proper evaluation of
new thermoplastic products. We took into account the
number of vehicles crossing the lines, the amount of
rain, the number of sunshine hours with UV radiation,
air pollution and the type of asphalt. This research
makes it possible for Cleanosol and the local contractor
to be at the forefront of technical development as regards
the end client, the road investor.
